Acura, Honda's luxury division, is set to launch two new concepts alongside a showcar preview of the next generation US-market Accord Coupe at the NAIAS in January. The new NSX concept will adopt a new stance on the super car paradigm.
ANOTHER year, another title – that’s the news from down under as Volkswagen has secured the World Rally Manufacturers’ Championship for the second year running after a clean sweep at the Rally Australia round. After a tense battle over the weekend, with Brit Kris Meeke leading for Citroen at one point, Volkswagen eventually took all three podium steps as Sebastien Ogier lead from teammate Jari-Matti Latvala with Andreas Mikkelsen coming in third. With only three rallies remaining this season, Volkswagen can no longer be caught at the top of the overall standings.
Honda is recalling about 10,800 Accords and Pilots in the United States for a potential front-suspension failure. The recall covers the 2010 and 2011 model years. A problem with the machinery used to tighten the spindle nuts on the front axles of both vehicles, as well as the damper attachment bolts for the Pilot, could cause the suspension to fail.
